We all loved The Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin and his action-packed show.  Starting tonight Animal Planet will air a new show called Crikey! It’s the Irwins which will include Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin.  They will continue in Steve’s footsteps and teach us about animal conservation.

About The Irwins

Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter, had an amazing show where he taught us about all types of animals. We saw him wrangle crocs, lizards, snakes, and koalas.  He and his wife Terri ran Australia Zoo which is an amazing place that teaches about animal conservation.

Bindi and Robert were young when Steve died, but they have just as much love for animals as their dad.  They want to carry on his legacy and teach others about all types of creatures.  They live in Australia Zoo with their mom Terri and take care of all types of animals.

The Show

Crikey! It’s the Irwins will follow Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin, as well as Bindi’s boyfriend Chandler Powell, as they live and work at Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast, where they care for more than 1200 animals.  For those that watched Crocodile Hunter, you will see familiar characters.  Wes, Steve’s best mate, runs the zoo and will be part of the show.  You will also get to see some of the same crocs that Steve loved still thriving at the zoo.

The series will premiere, tonight, October 28 at 8PM on Animal Planet.

Honoring Steve Irwin

The show will take place at Australia Zoo where we will see many images of Steve and see how his work has progressed. “Dad’s still very much a part of everything that we do in Australia Zoo,” Bindi Irwin says. “We wanted to continue in his footsteps and ensure his spirit lives on… What Dad ultimately wanted is for people to have life-changing wildlife experiences, and then take home this greater message of conservation and maybe a connection with animals that they never believed they had.”  That pretty much sums up what Steve was all about.  I bet he would be proud of his family.  I am looking forward to the show!
