Gaddy’s holiday light show is a fun family activity. The displays are large and there is plenty of variety to please everyone. We have gone for the last two years and it is our new family tradition.

About Gaddy’s holiday light show

The Gaddy family has put on a light show for more than 20 years at their home in Fayetteville, GA.  The drive-thru Christmas light display is open from Thanksgiving night thru January 1. The times are 6pm-10pm with extended hours on weekends.

There is no admission cost, but the family does support Toys for Tots and The March of Dimes. They are a donation drop off location for Toys for Tots.  So that is nice that you can make a donation while there.

How it works

Due to the popularity of the event, the road in front of the property gets backed up quickly.  It is better to go earlier as the traffic gets worse later in the night.  There is no admission fee, so you just wait your turn in line and pull right in.  Remember to turn off your lights so it is easier to see the displays.

When you first drive in you see all types of characters and lights.  You are greeted by a giant nutcracker and can see the small Ferris wheel display in the background.  As you get further in you see the main house on the right which has quite an amazing display of lights both on the house and in front of it.

Next, you see Santa’s Workshop along with Mrs. Claus.  A snowman welcomes you in as you move past displays that include the Little Mermaid, Cinderella and the Wizard of Oz.  You see holiday carolers surrounded by Christmas trees.  Next up is Snoopy on his dog house beside an old-fashioned airplane.   There are displays on both sides so make sure you look around to see all the fun characters.

As you get near the end you see a cool train and then the Statue of Liberty beside the American flag.  There is a patriotic area with signs thanking those that serve as well as the police.  Those are just a few of the many displays you will see there.

Great holiday fun

We really enjoyed going through all the displays.  Even though it is crowded, you have time to take pictures and enjoy each area.  I really like all the Disney themes as they are bright and happy. There was even Mater the tow truck displayed with his goofy grin.

The Gaddy holiday light show is a lot of fun for the whole family.  They did a great job with all the displays and there is plenty to keep your attention.  I recommend going if you are in Georgia as it is unique.  I love that they keep it open until January 1st, so that gives everyone plenty of time to go see it.  Seeing all the great displays really puts you in the holiday spirit.

May your days be merry and bright
