Summer is in full swing with lots of action-packed outdoor activities.  LipSense summer colors are bright and fun, to match the energy of the season. Some of the top colors include neutrals, icy mauves and of course vivid pinks.

It is hard to pick just a few top colors as there are so many summer-ready colors.   I narrowed it down to those that remind me most of the summertime.  If you prefer pinks, there are many options to choose from pale pinks to strong berry colors.  I usually think of pinks and purples for summer colors, but neutrals are also great for a more natural look.

Choose your LipSense Summer Colors

This is the challenge, but it is nice to have options.  I am pale so I tend to like colors that brighten me up.  I look good in neutrals and medium depth colors normally.  In the summer with a little bit of a tan, I will be bold and go for a deeper color. You don’t have to feel limited in your choice because of your complexion.  Sometimes it is good to take a chance on a bolder color.  Remember with LipSense you can mix the colors to make a custom color.  So if you get a bold color that you love but want to tone it down, do 1 layer of the bold color and 2 layers of a lighter one.  Play with it until you get the perfect shade you want.

The best way to start is to look at your options and see if any jump out at you.  Don’t worry if it is darker or lighter than you normally wear.  It is good to change things up.  You can put a swatch of the color on your hand and see how the shade works with your skin tone.  That is a good way to tell if it will either fade in too much and not be noticeable or be too bold for your preference.  Remember you are doing 3 layers of the color so that will darken it up a little.

Pinks, Purples and so much more

Ok, now let’s get into the colors to help with the decision.  We are focusing a bit more on neutrals, pinks and purple/berry type colors for summer.  You don’t have to do this but since there are so many colors that is an easier way for me to narrow it down.  I will highlight a few here.

Neutrals:

Caramel Latte – a warm brownish color with gold shimmer.  This is a good option if you don’t want a pink but more of a neutral with the gold of summer sun.

Pink Champagne – a true pink neutral color. This is a barely there pink frost to give your lips a hint of color.

Pinks:

Aussie Rose – Shimmering medium rose pink.

Coral-lina – Bright coral pink frost.  This is a bright happy summer color that reminds me of Florida.

Kiss for a Cause – Shimmering bold purple/pink.  This is a very bright color that makes a statement.

Luv It – Frosty light coral pink that is very pretty. This would be a way to get coral but not be as bright as Coral-lina.

Purple and Berry:

Mauve Ice – Frosty, pale barely-there lavender.  It is a unique color that will make your lips stand out.

Plumeria – Dark, hot pink with a subtle golden shimmer.

Roseberry – Matte muted rosy pink.

These are just a few of the colors; take a look at the images to see many more options.

Final Color Choices

Color choices are so subjective, but I decided to pick 4 colors that would be my top LipSense summer colors.  I picked them as they were vibrant and energetic like the season and they make me smile. The winners are…

Aussie Rose

Coral-lina

Kiss for a Cause

Mauve Ice

This combination represents a large range of summer colors from happy corals, traditional pinks, cool purples and of course bold pink.  I think they cover a lot of what I consider summer colors.  Now it is up to you to decide which ones represent your ideal summer colors.  Remember, go with what you like even if it is not your normal shade.  In life, we have to shake things up to keep it interesting.  Have fun and be bold!

Savvy Tip:

Remember if you have a color that is darker or brighter than you want, you can always do 2 coats of it with 1 coat of a lighter color to tone it down.  With LipSense you can create countless new colors by mixing shades or adding tinted glosses.
