We all love smooth healthy skin and a great way to get it is by using face masks.  I got the opportunity to use the LOreal Pure Clay Mask in the Clarify & Smooth option. This mask focuses on drawing out impurities and helping your skin be a more even tone.  Well, I certainly need that as my winter skin is not looking the best. I decided to do a review of the product and share my findings.

LOreal Pure Clay Mask details

LOréal has a range of clay-mud masks to help beautify your skin. Each mask is powered by 3 different clays in their pure form. The masks come in creamy textures that are easy to apply.  Clay masks are useful to help with the daily wear and tear on our skin that can leave it uneven and rough. Pure Clay Mask Clarify & Smooth addresses your skin concerns for smooth, even and resurfaced skin.

The Clays

Pure Clay Yuzu Lemon Mask is formulated with 3 clays: Kaolin Clay, Montmorillonite Clay, and Moroccan Lava Clay. It is enhanced with Yuzu Lemon extract to clarify & smooth skin and is suitable for all skin types. The 3 Pure Clays and Yuzu Lemon help:

Draw out build-up of impurities Shed rough, dead skin cells Clarify tone

Application Process

It is very easy to use the clay mask. You just apply an even layer to clean dry skin, avoiding eye and lip area. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, then remove with water in circular motions to exfoliate.  The color is a fun gold-yellow and made me feel oh so stylish. The directions say for best results use 3 times a week. In case of contact with eyes, rinse them immediately and thoroughly. Since it is suitable for all skin types, this product is a good general mask to use.  You can check out all the details at LOreal.

It is important to know what we put on our skin.  I tend to like products with fewer ingredients or more natural ones.  Here is the list of ingredients for the LOreal pure clay mask.

Final thoughts

I actually like this product more than I thought I would.  I must admit, my first thought on “clay mask” was that it might be drying.  It is winter-time and my skin gets very dry this time of year.  I was pleasantly surprised that it did not dry my skin at all.  It left it feeling very soft and smooth.  The product was easy to apply and remove, not messy like some masks. Overall, I liked the LOreal pure clay mask.  I got the clarify and smooth, but I really think I want to try the Detox & Brighten one next.  I feel like my skin could use a deeper detox so that will be a good mask for me.  If you are looking for a reasonably priced clay mask that comes in a variety of solutions, then LOreal pure clay mask may be a good option.  I did notice that this specific mask, Clarify & Smooth, was sold out in many places.  If you can’t find this one, there are many other options to try.
