I found a new treat that is tasty and helps settle my stomach. Prince of Peace ginger chews are the best! They are individually wrapped to easily take on the go. I love to eat one after a meal to give me a little sweet treat.
About Prince of Peace Ginger
Prince of Peace makes a variety of quality ginger treats. Ginger has been used in many cultures as a food, as well as a natural remedy. It contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds beneficial to health such as gingerols, beta-carotene, capsaicin, curcumin, and salicylate.
The benefits of ginger include supporting digestion to settle the stomach. It also contains gingerol, known for its anti-inflammatory properties. So it tastes good and helps the body, pretty sweet.
The original ginger chews are a balance of sweet and spicy ginger with a chewy texture. They are not sticky, just a little chewy. I love that each Ginger Chew is individually wrapped to take on the go. I just throw a few in my purse and I am set.
Ingredients: Sugar, Tapioca Starch, Ginger, Coconut Oil
That is a pretty basic list and yes sugar is not great for you but if you just eat a few you are ok. If you eat a lot, well….
Ginger Chew Flavors
I have only tried the original ginger chew flavor and love it. There are lots of other varieties to try for those of you more daring.
Ginger chews with lemon – same great taste as the original chews with a splash of lemon.
Ginger chews with mango – these seem like they would be sweeter than the original. If you are a mango lover then these are for you.
Ginger chews with mandarin orange – this is the next one on my list to try. I love oranges and I am curious how a fruity addition to the tangy ginger will be. I think these may be really good.
Ginger chews with lychee – I have never tried lychee but it looks tasty and fruity.
Ginger chews with coffee – this is perfect for the coffee lovers.
Ginger chews with peanut butter – now I am a huge fan of peanut butter. So this would be sweet, spicy and salty.
In addition to the chews, they also sell ginger honey crystals and lemon honey crystals. These make a great tea.
I am very impressed with Prince of Peace ginger chews. They give you just a little sweet treat after your meal and definitely help me with digestion. They serve a dual purpose so who could ask for more? I never leave home without these. Now I need to try some of the other flavors. That peanut butter flavor is intriguing…
Variety is the spice of life.
