SeaWorld has so much to do for everyone. Live shows with acrobats, dolphins, and orcas are exciting and educational. Add in some roller coasters and you have a fun-filled day.
We were heading to Orlando to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and decided to go to SeaWorld. It has been many years since I visited and I must say it was well worth the trip. I loved all the shows and we had fun riding some intense roller coasters.
As you enter the park you see animals like flamingos in their habitat. There are also turtles and dolphins to watch. The landscaping is very pretty and inviting.
When we first got there, the coasters were not on so we went to a fun water ride called Journey to Atlantis. It was a tame ride and there were only a few of us on it. What we didn’t know is that there is a large splash of water on the ride, so we got pretty wet. Nothing like starting your day drenched. It did cool us off.
Next, we went to a cute ride called Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin. It took you on a journey with a penguin named Puck. You get to see Antarctica through the eyes of a penguin. It was fun as the seat spins and you have to escape from predators. You end the ride in a penguin habitat and get to see them swim and have fun. It was nice and chilly in there as penguins are particular and like it cold. The workers were wearing winter coats as it was a bit nippy inside.
By the time we got out it was getting crowded, so we headed to the roller coasters. We rode two of the roller coasters: Kraken and Mako which were a lot of fun. There were tons of twists and turns to keep your adrenaline rushing. The lines were long but moved quickly.
Our focus next was on all the great shows. Ocean Discovery and One Ocean feature killer whales, also known as Orcas. They are beautiful creatures. They did flips, splashed the audience and interacted with trainers. These were unique shows that we enjoyed. In addition to the show, you are educated on Orcas and learn about their personalities.
The next show was my favorite, Dolphin Days, which was about dolphins and much more. It included acrobats and other sea creatures. We also saw a flock of parrots fly in unison over the crowd’s head. It was spectacular and our favorite part of the day. We were just amazed at the acrobatics of the trainers and of course loved learning about dolphins. I am not sure if the show we saw is one everyone gets to see as I don’t see the exact description on their site. If you go to SeaWorld ask about a show that combines acrobatics with dolphins and other creatures. You will be very pleased with the show.
There are several other fun shows like Clyde and Seamore’s Sea Lion High and Sea Lions Tonight. These shows are great for little kids as the sea lions are so much fun. In the evenings they have a special show with Shamu and also fireworks.
We had so much fun at SeaWorld. I love learning about all of the amazing creatures and seeing them in action. I enjoyed the park, but think if they had more rides they would attract more people. There is a limited amount of rides so the lines get long. That was the only thing that needed improvement. Everything else was so much fun and the park itself is beautiful with lots of unique flowers and plants.
I definitely recommend SeaWorld if you are in Orlando. I would like to go back and visit again as I see they have some new rides like Infinity Falls coming out in 2018.
Make time for fun!
