The Super Bowl is this Sunday and people are getting ready for a day of action packed sports and interesting commercials. For those that are not fans of football, there is another option. The Kitten Bowl is on the same day and is all about the cats. It is a nice alternative and who doesn’t love kittens?
About the bowl games
Most of us are aware of the Super Bowl. I mean how can you miss the hype on TV and social media? There are pre-game shows, lots of build up, a half-time show and of course all the interesting commercials. There will be many parties with great snacks to get everyone pumped up for the game.
If you don’t like football and want a more relaxing experience, you can tune into the Hallmark channel for the Kitten Bowl. There will be lots of adorable kittens competing and playing games. The main point of the bowl is to help get animals adopted which is a great cause.
Here is a breakout of all the key information you need to prepare for your perfect Sunday.
Super Bowl LIII is Sunday, February 3rd at 6:30 PM ET. Now there will be lots of pre-games shows and social events to check out before the game too. Key info includes:
Teams: Los Angeles Rams vs New England Patriots.
When: Sunday February 3rd at 6:30 PM ET.
Where: Atlanta, GA in the new Mercedes Benz stadium which is extremely cool and state of the art.
Watch: This is on CBS but there are also ways to stream it. You can stream it on CBS All Access and CBSsports.com. They will also let you use most streaming devices (Fire TV, Roku etc).
Halftime Show: This year it will be Maroon 5, Big Boi and Travis Scott.
Commercials: Ok, how many watch the game mainly to see the cool commercials? There should be some good ones this year. Interesting fact, a 30-second piece costs around $5 million during the game. That is a lot of money to get our attention. Hopefully we will have plenty to talk about after the game.
Kitten Bowl VI is on Hallmark channel on Sunday, February 3rd starting at 2 PM ET. You will get to meet the players and hear great stories about adoptions. Mostly you just get to see lots of furry cuteness. Key info:
Teams: Last Hope Lions, Little Longtails, North Shore Bengals, Pouncy Panthers.
When: Sunday, February 3rd at 2 PM ET.
Watch: Hallmark channel and you can watch live from the same link.
Halftime Show: Happy the cat and dog will have fun with their friends.
You will see things like Cat-lete of the week, inspiring stories, meet the athletes and adoption details.
Ready for the games
Both the Super Bowl and Kitten Bowl should be fun to watch. If you get bored with one you can always switch over to the other. I am not a fan of either team playing, but will cheer for the Rams as I am tired of the Patriots winning. Above all, I want the kittens to win and get adopted.
